Job Description:

We're partnering with a local government agency seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support multiple .This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong payroll tax knowledge who enjoys troubleshooting, collaborating with payroll teams, and ensuring year-end accuracy.

What You'll Be Doing

Perform 4th Quarter payroll tax reconciliations
Balance and verify W-2s prior to year-end processing
Support State & Federal payroll tax filings
Investigate and resolve payroll variances
Review payroll deductions, retirement contributions, and taxable benefits
Assist districts with payroll corrections and compliance
Provide training and support to district payroll teams
Support onboarding of additional districts into the HCM environment
Ensure compliance with IRS, State, and FLSA regulations

Qualifications:

Experience with quarter-end payroll reconciliations and W-2 balancing
Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, earnings, deductions, and year-end processing
Experience supporting State & Federal payroll filings
Background in multi-entity, multi-district, or complex payroll environments
Familiarity with HCM/payroll systems
Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Work Arrangem ent: Onsite 4 days/week, Remote 1 day/week
