Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized professional to oversee the day-to-day operations of a residential affordable housing community. This role is responsible for ensuring an excellent resident experience, maintaining property performance, supporting compliance requirements, and coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and external partners. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-focused, and able to balance operational priorities with regulatory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily property operations to support a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming residential community.
• Oversee leasing activities, including application processing, resident communication, renewals, and move-in/move-out procedures.
• Maintain accurate resident records and ensure required documentation is collected, organized, and retained appropriately.
• Support compliance with affordable housing program requirements, policies, and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate annual recertifications, income verifications, and other compliance-related processes as needed.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident questions, concerns, and service requests.
• Work closely with maintenance staff and vendors to ensure timely resolution of work orders and property needs.
• Monitor occupancy, collections, delinquency, and other performance indicators to support property goals.
• Prepare reports, notices, correspondence, and administrative documents accurately and on time.
• Help foster positive resident relations and support community engagement efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience in property management, residential leasing, or affordable housing operations preferred.
• Knowledge of affordable housing compliance requirements, including income certification and documentation processes, is strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with property management software, Microsoft Office, and standard office systems.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or industry certifications are a plus.

Work Environment

This role is typically based on-site at a residential property and may require occasional evening or weekend availability based on operational needs. The position involves regular interaction with residents, vendors, and team members, as well as a mix of office, administrative, and property walk-through responsibilities.
